IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. www.jensenswing.com   Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. Attach four pelican hooks to eyebolts in swing set. Close according to Fig. A1.19 for Fastening Devices.  Make sure that ladder is taut and bottom of ladder is anchored. This can be done in several ways depending upon how you are using the ladder. Bottom of ladder must be anchored. Both the CPSC and the ASTM recommended that flexible climbing devices be anchored below ground level. This means that any bar, J-bolt or other type of fastener must be located below the level of the playing surface so that the anchoring device does not present a trip hazard or a fall hazard if a child should fall back onto the bottom of the flexible climber. Cut any excess rope and tape the ends off with duct tape to prevent fraying. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been re-opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.

Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for cracking and/or splinters on ladder rungs, sharp edges and/or frayed rope. Make sure that ladder is still taut and cannot pose an entrapment. Make sure anchors are below ground level. Check for vandalism. Replace parts as necessary.

Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
