Description

Our injection-molded trapeze triangles are engineered for optimal strength and durability, eliminating the need for metal inserts. They serve as an affordable and attractive option for swing sets, especially when compared to the lightweight trapeze rings typically found on low-cost models. With dimensions of 8 ½” in length, 5” inner diameter, 3 ½” grip, and a ½” hole for S-hook, the trapeze triangles can be used with H140, H150, and H172. However, please note that this product is not suitable for gymnasium use.

Weighing in at a mere 0.30 lbs per ring, these trapeze triangles offer a tensile strength of 419 lbs. The estimated lifespan of the product is 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions, although some situations may necessitate earlier replacement. Please note that the price is per ring. Choose our STR for a reliable and long-lasting addition to your swing set.

IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a “Product Testing Information” page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. You can also call us at 1-800-227-7529 for more information or see http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/325.pdf.

Due to the thermodynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.

Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight to cause burns. As is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play.  For more information, contact IPEMA headquarters at www.communications@ipema.org or by calling 1‐717‐238‐1744.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. If the installation instructions differ from ours please contact us at 800-227-7529.

Attach fastener to trapeze ring and the chain or rope. Make sure that fastener is closed according to Figure A1.19. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been re-opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.

Maintenance: Before and after play seasons and once a month during play season, check that fasteners are closed correctly. Make sure there is no cracked plastic especially where ring connects to fastener. Replace parts as need.
