Description
Our steering wheel is not only stylish but also easy to install and cost-effective. Designed with child use in mind, it has a realistic 12-inch diameter and a dished shape. The wheel is made with injection molding, giving it a substantial feel and strength that is not found in some of its blow-molded competitors.
The steering wheel comes with 3/8″ lag screws for mounting hardware and a horn button cap that provides a polished appearance after installation. With a tensile strength of 1377 lbs., this product should last up to 5 years under optimal conditions and up to 2 years in harsh conditions. However, please note that some conditions may require replacement sooner.

However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.
To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. www.jensenswing.com Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a “Product Testing Information” page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics, plastic wheels are preferred over metal wheels for play equipment. Although plastic wheels may become as hot as metal, they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic and plastic surfaces over bare metal.
Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. As is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play. For more information, contact IPEMA headquarters at www.communications@ipema.org or by calling 1‐717‐238‐1744.
Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. If the installation instructions differ from ours please contact us at 800-227-7529.
Make sure that you are attaching the steering wheel to wood that is strong enough to support the weight of the wheel and spinning motion. Drill a starter hole in the wood. Place a washer next to top of wood, then steering wheel. With a socket wrench screw, supplied 3/8” lag, screw completely into wood. Pop on horn button cap. Make sure that steering wheel can spin freely.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check that steering wheel can spin freely. Check for vandalism, for sharp edges or cracked plastic. Make sure lag screw is secure. Replace parts as necessary.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
