Here is our C125 – 8 1/2 ft coated chain, which is perfect for adding a pop of color to any swing set. Four feet of the chain is coated in bright polymer colors, ensuring that it catches the eye and adds a playful touch to your play equipment.
This high-quality chain is 3/16″ thick, with a 4/O Aught and Grade 30 rating, making it strong and durable. The chain’s links are 1″ long, and the opening is 1/2″ wide, ensuring that it is compatible with most swing set hardware. For use with this chain, we recommend the H140 – H145 5/16″ S-hook, which is sold separately.
In addition, you can also use our H170 – H171 – H172 – H173 shackles, but please note that you may need to force them through the coated part of the chain. It is important to purchase chain from a playground manufacturer as other chains may not have the same level of quality control and may contain weak links or air bubbles.
This chain is designed to withstand harsh conditions for up to 2 years and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. However, some conditions may require replacement sooner. This product is sold individually and is sure to be a colorful and durable addition to your play equipment. If you have any questions about this product, please do not hesitate to contact us.

However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.
To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a “Product Testing Information” page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. Chain should always be attached using the last link in length of chain. Assembly will depend upon use. Coated section should be used where children are most likely to hold. For instance on a swing assembly, the coated section should be attached to the swing. Fasteners may need to be forced through the polymer. If coating is too thick for fastener to slide through easily, you may have to use pliers to pull fastener through the coating or cut away some of the coating for the fastener to fit through link. Close according to Fig. A1.19 for Fastening Devices.
Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for rusty or worn chain. Carefully check hole around fastener to look for wear. Check for vandalism. Check to see that polymer has not been peeled away from chain resulting in sharp pieces of either chain or polymer. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/ or H-shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
