Description
Our galvanized chain is specifically designed to be rust-resistant and is compliant with ASTM standards, making it a dependable choice for any playground. It features 4/0 Aught and Grade 30 chain that contains links measuring 1 2/5 inches long and a ½ inch wide opening. The chain is compatible with all of our S-hooks and Shackles. It is important to note that chain obtained from non-playground manufacturers may not possess quality control and could contain weak links and air bubbles. Our chain, on the other hand, is sturdy and can last up to 5 years in optimal conditions or 2 years in harsh conditions, with some variables requiring replacement sooner. Additionally, our product has a tensile strength of 3200 lbs and can be purchased by the foot or in a pail of 250 feet.
This is for children 0 – 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. Chain should always be attached using the last link in length of chain. Assembly will depend upon use. Use an S-hook or Shackle to attach chain to swing seat and/or swing hanger. Close according to Fig. A1.19 for Fastening Devices.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for rusty or worn chain. Carefully check hole around fastener to look for wear. Check for vandalism. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/or H-shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
